A Most Dashing Tweed.

"Dashing Tweeds is Britain’s latest tweed textile company. Opening up a contemporary arena for a classic quality fabric, Dashing Tweeds has created a range of tweeds for the 21st century, designed by photographer Guy Hills and weaver Kirsty McDougall.

The Urban Tweeds range is inspired by the colours of London, from the wet pavements of Piccadilly to the green parks of St. James’. For colour fidelity samples of double yellow-lines and red routes were chiselled up and replicated to produce the yarn shades of the city.
The highly successful Scooter Coat is now available as a ready to wear item which can be ordered in a variety of Dashing Tweeds.

The Scooter Coat is stylish and warm in the daytime and, at night, reflective and water repellent, providing a safe and elegant coat perfectly suited to the requirements of today’s urban environment. In addition it benefits from optional Knox armour elbow protection. The coat takes about three weeks to make and can be made in your size. It costs £850.00

To re-fashion tweed for our time, Dashing Tweeds is now offering ready to wear garments as well as fabric for bespoke items. The Scooter Coat, designed by cutter Russell Howarth is based on the Household Cavalry greatcoat."
